Faster GPU Radiation Calculation and More with 6SigmaET Release 15

We recently launched our 15th release of 6SigmaET, a thermal simulation software toolset for the electronics industry. This release is packed with new features that accelerate thermal design.

One such new feature is the improved GPU radiation calculation – more than 100 times faster than before.  A real-world application recently found it to be 146 times faster actually! 

“Our users are already discovering the power of GPU acceleration for calculating radiation view factors and absorption factors. This improvement is one of many solver developments we think our users will be excited to hear about,” says Product Manager Tom Gregory. 

Other new features and improvements of our electronics CFD software include:

•Enhanced graphics for analysis and reporting
•Fast loading surface temperature plots
•Readymade reporting templates
•An integrated connection between the 3D model and the 1D network for liquid cooling analysis
•Ray tracing technology
